Today, Sian Williams wore a pink dress with a blue/black tailored jacket. She accessorised this with a thin gold chain.

Over on the BBC News Channel, Emily Maitlis wore what looked like a white silk shirt with a black long sleeved top. She had dark coloured nails and long crystal earrings.

Although I didn’t think the silk shirt worked, I did like the monochrome mixture. So here are some ideas.

This wool dress from Next has a beaded white collar and this black lace dress from Dorothy Perkins has a white pearl neckline.
